Skycaddie and Sureshotgps Rangefinders - Reviews
Olly - LondonPlayed a round with a new guy from my golf club who had just purchased a skycaddie rangefinder and was absolutely blown away by the accuracy he was clubbing into the greens. Now I have been a member at my club for 15 years and I thought I knew the yardages pretty good. Looks like I've been seriously under clubbing for years. Immediately went and bought the top of the range Skycaddie SG5 and have never looked back.. D. Thomas - East SussexWent to an Eastern PGA golf Pro event in February and was amazed at the number of club pros that were using GPS golf sat nav devices. Seems to be all the rage. Whilst I can see that some people are dead against the use of the Skycaddie SG5 or any type of measuring instrument they certainly have their merits. The pace of play was definitely speeded up and I can see the skycaddie becoming mainstream.. |

P.Bristow - MiddxBought the Skycaddie SG5. Excellent bit of kit. Pretty good display with a decent readout. Scans well under most conditions, and connects to the computer via USB port. Connect to the skycaddie website and the amount of courses they have already mapped is quite astounding. Have got all my local tracks on my skycaddy sg5. Bill - CheshireIts great that these gps range finders have been accepted by the R&A. Our Club Pro had a demo Skycaddie in the pro shop just before christmas and I think not a day went by without a member asking if they could try it out. Opinions were mixed, but by seeing the number of players that have now gone and bit the bullet, I would say they have been a resounding success. A friend of mine who plays at another club bought the Sureshotgps from 118 Golf and has has been equally impressed. It seems to be a slightly smaller unit than the skycaddie and he just slips it in his pocket and gets it out when he needs that all important yardage. Steve Williams - NorfolkWithout a doubt a serious bit of kit for the serious golfer. Me and my golfing buddies have all got the skycaddie devices and the SG5 is the nuts. We are off to Belek in march and it seems we are in luck as all the courses we are playing have already been mapped. It will be like having Fanny on the bag.
Phil Reynolds - BristolNo more sitting on the mental fence. I am getting perfect yardages with my Skycaddie SG5. I can confidently hit the ball stick high. |
