Sureshot GPS Rangefinder

New to UK golfers for 2008 is the Sureshotgps rangefinder. Developed by Australian company Tee2Green the Sureshot GPS has been designed as a small unit that can be easily held in the hand or alternatively clipped to the golfers belt or attached to a bag or golf buggy. The sureshot conforms to PGA and R&A regulations and like its main competitor in the market the Skycaddie it can be used at club level providing the committee has endorsed a local rule allowing measuring devices during competition play.

Sureshotgps - Global Positioning for Golfers

The Sureshotgps rangefinder uses Global Positioning to determine the distance the player requires to execute his next shot. Courses are mapped out by professional mappers, where apon the course can be downloaded to the sureshotgps via pc or mac with the supplied software. The player then has access to the distances of up to thirty three reference points for each hole. No need to look for yardage markers or refer to a yardage book, the sureshotgps rangefinder takes care of that on an easily readable full colour screen. By selecting the hole in play on the device the golfer will have instant yardages presented to them including the distances to the front , centre and the back of the green. Reduce that feeling of uncertainty when selecting a club when faced with hazards on the course. The Sureshotgps gps system can record up to fifteen hazards on any particular hole. So whether they be bunkers or water hazards by using the sureshot rangefinder you will always know the exact yardages and therefore be able to select the correct club.

Sureshot gps - Course to Computer

The Sureshot gps also has the ability to record your round so that by connecting to the supplied software via pc or mac a complete analysis of your round is ready for scrutiny. It will use the information entered by the user as he plays to analyse golf rounds and give statistics relating to number of putts and greens and fairways hit in regulation. By using the sureshot gps device the player will also have the added benefit of accurately measuring the distance hit by every club in the bag. Membership to the sureshotgps system is free for the first 12 months allowing members access to all the mapped courses in their database. They claim to have in excess 10,000 courses mapped world wide with more being added daily. Up to 10 courses can be downloaded to the sureshot gps caddie as well as the user being able to map their own course if its not on the sureshot database. Membership fees after the initial 12 months equates to approx £10 per year, which represents good value.
